Discover the Catalonia Most Travelers Never See

Founded by Author and Cook Alba Sunyer, The Catalan Table offers far more than a food tour—it is an invitation to experience Catalonia through the eyes of one of its most passionate culinary ambassadors. Born and raised in Catalonia, Alba has spent over 15 years promoting and teaching Catalan cuisine at leading culinary schools across the United States, and is the author of the acclaimed cookbook The Catalan Table, endorsed by culinary icons including José Andrés, Ferran Adrià, Albert Adrià, Joan Roca, and food writer Colman Andrews.

Through her lifelong relationships with local chefs, winemakers, and artisans, Alba opens doors to exclusive experiences and authentic encounters that few travelers have access to, creating unforgettable journeys that celebrate the very best of Catalonia.

THE INVITATION

Welcome to My Catalonia

Alba Sunyer was born and raised in the small Catalan town of Sallent, where she learned that culinary heritage is not only something we inherit, but something we choose to preserve.

She grew up cooking with the seasons, valuing local ingredients, and appreciating the people behind the harvest. In Catalonia, food reflects the landscape, history, traditions, and identity of its people, just as the Catalan language does.

Few places offer a pantry as rich as Catalonia's. From Mediterranean seafood and Maresme vegetables to Garrotxa cheeses, renowned olive oils, Priorat, Penedès, and Empordà wines, Vic's embotits, Pyrenean beef, and Aitona's stone fruit, every region tells its story through its food.
